I think most of us are familiar with the “sheepdog” concept. How seriously are you taking your personal role of sheepdog for your flock? All of us have a flock to watch over and take care of. That certainly includes your family, but what about others? Maybe you are the kind of person who could seal themselves into a vault and say to hell with the rest of the world. As a firefighter/EMT one of the first things you learn is take care of your own safety first and foremost. After that, you do everything you reasonably can to save lives and protect property. Senator Dianne Feinstein’s decades-old crusade for ridding guns from law abiding citizens continues. She’s recently introduced the Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 on January 24. [1] It has been said that her ultimate goal is to disarm every American. Erie Colorado-based manufacturer Magpul Industries have threatened to move their business out of state if legislators pass their proposed gun-control laws. Rev Z – Being Prepared From a Christian Standpoint

Being prepared from a Christian standpoint sometimes creates a bit of a problem. Some think that these are end time events and that we will all be taken away before anything really bad happens to us or our loved ones. Since the Bible is pretty clear that we don’t know exactly when we are leaving, it would be wise to be prepared. The Old Testament Joseph was able to save his family (and the Egyptians) during a lengthy famine (Genesis 41) because he had led them in storing back food while it was plentiful. If you think that shortages couldn’t really occur in this land of plenty…try and buy some ammunition right now. To be prepared is not a lack of faith, it is a way to show Biblical wisdom. Shalom…Rev.
