On Preserving Liberty

On Preserving Liberty

To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them. – Richard Henry Lee 1788

Let Your Gun Be Your Constant Companion

Let Your Gun Be Your Constant Companion

“A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise, and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks.” – Thomas Jefferson

The Importance of Firearms

The Importance of Firearms

“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the American people’s liberty teeth and keystone under independence … From the hour the Pilgrims landed, to the present day, events, occurrences, and tendencies prove that to insure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indispensable . . . Experts are being vague when it comes to answering the question “what are my chances of getting Ebola while traveling?” Most of what I’m seeing are comments like “very low”, or “unlikely”. I guess that is supposed to make me feel better. But believe you me, if I wind up sitting beside someone with flu-like symptoms, my spider-sense will be alarming in...

Barbershop Conversations and a Young Man

As a youngster, I always dreaded going to the barbershop. Didn’t mind getting a haircut, I just didn’t understand how a group of old men could discuss all the boring things they chose to talk about. As I grew older, I came to understand, that even though these men hardly ever agreed on anything they always allowed each other to have their own opinion.
