Teaching Kids What is Right

One of my best friends and a contributor to Like Minded Citizen is a youth firearms instructor. Earlier today we were discussing the importance of not just teaching them how to shoot, but to slip in important lessons about ethics and morals. Where is a young person going to learn a code of conduct today?

Teaching a young person to shoot doesn’t serve much purpose if we aren’t teaching them about being a good citizen. The well-regulated Militia that the 2nd amendment talks about are citizens, not thugs or self-centered metro-sexuals. We need to be teaching kids what is right, not just what is legal.
